EB1 Visa Requirements

Must be machine-readable and undamaged. Provide clear copies of all pages, including any previous passports if relevant. Cross-reference with visa application form.

Include visa pages, I-94 records, and prior petition approvals. Required if applicant has previously held US status. Ensure legibility and completeness.

Police clearance certificates from all countries where applicant has lived for 6 months or more since age 16. Required for certain countries and may be requested by consular officer.

Ensure all fields are accurately completed for the appropriate EB1 category (A, B, or C). Must be signed by the petitioner and dated within 60 days of submission. Include all required supplements and attachments.

EB1-A: Evidence of extraordinary ability (awards, publications, membership, etc.). EB1-B: Evidence of outstanding research/teaching. EB1-C: Evidence of executive/managerial role and qualifying relationship.

Include all post-secondary degrees and transcripts. If degree is from outside the US, provide credential evaluation from NACES-approved agency. All documents not in English must be accompanied by certified translations.

Include original award certificates, published announcements, and evidence of significance. For EB1-A, this is one of the key criteria for demonstrating extraordinary ability.

Submit full copies of articles, cover pages, and publication details. Highlight applicant's name and relevance. For online materials, include URLs and access dates. Critical for EB1-A and EB1-B categories.

Membership certificates must show eligibility criteria. Provide association bylaws or membership standards. Attach evidence of active participation if applicable. Important for EB1-A category.

Each letter should be on official letterhead, signed in ink, and include the expert's credentials. Letters must describe applicant's achievements, relationship, and specific examples of extraordinary ability or expertise.

Include research papers, patents, inventions, or creative works. Provide evidence of impact and recognition in the field. Critical for EB1-A and EB1-B categories.

Document leadership positions, board memberships, or critical roles in prestigious organizations. Provide organizational charts and evidence of responsibilities. Important for EB1-A and EB1-C categories.

Include box office receipts, record sales, or other commercial success metrics. Provide evidence of critical or commercial success in the performing arts. Specific to EB1-A category for performing artists.

All documents not in English must be accompanied by certified translations. Translations must include certification statement, translator's credentials, and signature.

Prepare for consular interview with knowledge of EB1 category requirements, evidence of extraordinary ability or qualifications, and be ready to answer detailed questions about the petition.

Required for EB1-B and EB1-C categories. Must detail position, salary, duties, and duration. For EB1-C, must show qualifying relationship between US and foreign entities.

Include job descriptions, responsibilities, achievements, and progression. For EB1-C, must demonstrate executive or managerial capacity. For EB1-B, must show research or teaching excellence.

Include W-2s, pay stubs, contracts, and industry salary surveys. Documents should cover the last 3 years. Highlight above-average compensation with supporting data. Relevant for EB1-A category.

Include Articles of Incorporation, business licenses, organizational charts, and evidence of qualifying relationship between US and foreign entities. Required for EB1-C category.

Medical examination by approved panel physician if required by specific consulate or for adjustment of status. Not required for all EB1 applications but may be requested for certain circumstances.
