EB2 Visa Requirements

Must be machine-readable and undamaged. Provide clear copies of all pages, including any previous passports if relevant. Cross-reference with visa application form.

Include job descriptions, responsibilities, achievements, and progression. Must demonstrate relevant experience in the field and exceptional ability or advanced degree qualifications.

Include all post-secondary degrees and transcripts. For EB2-A, must demonstrate advanced degree (master's or higher). If degree is from outside the US, provide credential evaluation from NACES-approved agency. All documents not in English must be accompanied by certified translations.

Required for EB2-B category. Must demonstrate at least 3 of the 6 criteria: academic records, letters of recommendation, membership in professional associations, recognition for achievements, high salary, or commercial success.

Required for EB2-B category. Must demonstrate that the individual's work is in the national interest and that a labor certification would be contrary to the national interest.

Include original award certificates, published announcements, and evidence of significance. For EB2-B, this is one of the key criteria for demonstrating exceptional ability.

Submit full copies of articles, cover pages, and publication details. Highlight applicant's name and relevance. For online materials, include URLs and access dates. Important for EB2-B category.

Membership certificates must show eligibility criteria. Provide association bylaws or membership standards. Attach evidence of active participation if applicable. Important for EB2-B category.

Each letter should be on official letterhead, signed in ink, and include the expert's credentials. Letters must describe applicant's achievements, relationship, and specific examples of exceptional ability or expertise.

Include research papers, patents, inventions, or creative works. Provide evidence of impact and recognition in the field. Critical for EB2-B category.

Document leadership positions, board memberships, or critical roles in prestigious organizations. Provide organizational charts and evidence of responsibilities. Important for EB2-B category.

Include box office receipts, record sales, or other commercial success metrics. Provide evidence of critical or commercial success in the performing arts. Specific to EB2-B category for performing artists.

All documents not in English must be accompanied by certified translations. Translations must include certification statement, translator's credentials, and signature.

Prepare for consular interview with knowledge of EB2 category requirements, evidence of exceptional ability or advanced degree qualifications, and be ready to answer detailed questions about the petition.

Include W-2s, pay stubs, contracts, and industry salary surveys. Documents should cover the last 3 years. Highlight above-average compensation with supporting data. Relevant for EB2-B category.

Include Articles of Incorporation, business licenses, tax ID, financial statements, and evidence of business legitimacy. Demonstrates the petitioner's ability to support the EB2 beneficiary.

Medical examination by approved panel physician if required by specific consulate or for adjustment of status. Not required for all EB2 applications but may be requested for certain circumstances.
